FIRST BROKEN BONE?!?!?!?

Alright guys, I'm here to tell you that I got my first broken bone (EVER IN MY LIFE!!!!) about 2 weeks ago. I just thought you guys should know. So... here's the story... (Don't read if you don't want to, and I am not asking for attention AT ALL!!!! I just wanted to tell you guys since you guys mean a lot to me!! Love all of you!!)

There I was, in 5th hour (in my high school), gym class. We had choice activity time (you get to choose what you want to do, volleyball/basketball/football/walk around/etc.), and my friend and I were playing volleyball. Well, she hit it back to me, and it hit the ground and rolled over to the brick wall. Stupid me says "Hey, watch this!!" (am standing about 6 or 7 feet away from the wall) and I throw the volleyball as hard as I can at the wall. It ricocheted as it was coming straight at my face, fast! My reaction was to bring my hands up to cover my face. Well, it hit my pinky on my left hand. It immediately swelled up and bruised. I tried to just suck it up/walk it off, but it hurt way too bad. I went to the gym teacher and she told me it was just jammed and to get some ice from the nurse. And I get to the nurse's office, but nobody is there, so I just grabbed a bag of ice from the fridge and left. Well, I waited a week. It was still very tender, and it didn't like to be touched, but I could still bend it as usual. So I was slightly confused. I went to the nurse's office again. She was there. And I showed her my finger and she did a few physical tests on my finger before she asked how long it was broken. I was shocked, I was slightly considering that it was broken, but I never really thought about that reasoning seriously. Anyway, she asked me all kinds of questions and whatnot before she wrapped my pinky and ring fingers together and told me to go buy a finger splint and use that for a couple of weeks, and if it is still not feeling better by then to come back. The funny thing is that within that week, I jammed that finger a few more times, and not even on purpose!! This year has just been great for me!!! (Sarcasm)


* Okay, so you guys, I'm left-handed. And almost every day, someone asks me, "You're left handed?", or is surprised by the fact that I'm left-handed!!! Am I the only one who thinks that's weird? Or can one of you tell me why people do that? Becuase I have a lot of friends that are left-handed and they don't get these comments. So am I just weird or something?*
